Privacy Policy
Ratatui HRV is a local-first wellness app for personal heart rate variability trend tracking. It is not a medical device and does not provide diagnosis, treatment, or emergency monitoring.
Data The App Uses
Ratatui HRV uses the iPhone camera and flash during a scan to detect fingertip color changes. Those color changes are processed on the device into summary HRV values such as heart rate, RMSSD, SDNN, pNN50, signal quality, frame count, and beat count.
Data The App Stores
The app stores saved readings locally on the device using Apple's local storage. Saved readings include only summary HRV numbers and proof checks. The app does not save camera photos, camera video, or raw color-frame values.
The app may write a local proof text file inside the app's private container so the latest scan can be verified later. That proof file contains summary-only scan details.
Apple Watch
If the Apple Watch companion app is installed, the iPhone can send recent summary readings to the paired Watch using Apple's WatchConnectivity system. The Watch displays synced results; it does not measure HRV itself.
Export And Sharing
The export and share features create summary-only text. You choose where to send or save that exported text using Apple's share sheet.
Apple Health
Apple Health saving is not included in the current test build. If Apple Health support is enabled in a future build, the app will ask for permission before saving an SDNN HRV value to Apple Health.
Data Collection And Tracking
Ratatui HRV does not create user accounts, does not use advertising tracking, and does not send HRV readings to a cloud server in the current build.
Delete Data
Use the in-app Delete All control to remove local saved readings and clear the next Watch sync payload. If you exported a file or shared a report outside the app, delete that copy wherever you saved it.
